Easy Beanie Hat

Created by: Cathey Elrod

Crochet hook size G

I used Redheart yarn and the kids worsted yarn

This is a two tone hat, using one color for the ribbing and other color for the hat. It can be made in solid color..

FOR RIBBING:

To start off chain 8, sc in second chain from hook and in each chain across, total of 7 sc

Turn, chain 1 (NOTE: now and through out work in BL only)

Sc in each ch across 7sc

Repeat to size of circumference of head, usually its Apr 65-67 rows

Fasten off

Than sew the ends together to form a band, fasten off

FOR HAT:

Sc in the ends of each row all the way around, (NOTE: now and through out you will be cont. sc all the way around in FL ONLY) DO NOT JOIN IN EACH ROW, YOU WILL CONTINUE AROUND AND AROUND IN THE SC MATTER

So you will sc in FL only in the cont., round of each sc. Cont. this for 17 rounds than you will sc in 10 sc than the next two sc you will draw up a loop and than pull yarn through two loops than yarn over and draw through last two loops on hook. Repeat this for Apr another 11 rows than you will fasten off.

Turn the hat inside out and than weave yarn through the last row and than pull together tight, and tie, than finish sewing for extra security to make sure the hat is closed off with no middle hole showing on top..
